Our goal is to provide as much money as we can for pediatric cancer research and help with financial assistance to families who have been affected by this life-threatening disease through the Run with Veronica Charity.

EVENT DETAILS

2-Mile running race performed on the dry sand on Belmar Beach. The race will start on 2nd Avenue and run 1 mile south to 17th Avenue. Participants then turn around and head back to the finish line on 2nd Avenue.

Race Bib Pickup Starts: 6:15am
Event Starts: 7:00am
Event Ends: 08:30am

EVENT RULES

Participants can compete as individuals or as a team. There are 2 team divisions. A 2-person and 4-person team. 2-person and 4-person teams will run with a baton. The 2-person team member will hand off the baton at 1 mile to the other member. Each team member runs a total of 1 mile. The 4-person team members will hand off the baton at each 1/2 mile marker to the next team member. Each team member will run a distance of 1/2 mile.

Each baton will have a timing chip attached so it must cross the finish line for accurate times.

Awards will be given out for the fastest times within these various categories.

5. 2-person coed under 50 (combined age under 100)
6. 2-person male 100+ (combined age 100+)
7. 2-person female 100+ (combined age 100+)
8. 2-person coed 100+ (combined age 100+)
9. 4-person male under 200 (combined under 200)
10. 4-person females under 200 (combined under 200)
11. 4-person coed under 200 (combined under 200)
12. 4-person male 200+ (combined age 200+)
13. 4-person female 200+ (combined age 200+)
14. 4-person coed 200+ (combined age 200+)
15. Lifeguard: There will be an award for the fastest beach patrol.
